RADIESSE

RADIESSE® is a dermal filler made of smooth calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres. This formulation stimulates the body’s natural collagen production, resulting in a smoother, more youthful overall appearance.

It is primarily used for adding volume to the cheeks and chin but is also FDA-approved for the treatment of the back of the hands. Because it is not hyaluronic acid-based, it is not reversible with Hylenex®. RADIESSE® typically lasts up to 15 months when used for contouring the face.

FAQS:

Ideal candidates for RADIESSE® are individuals seeking to address facial wrinkles and folds, such as smile lines, marionette lines, and chin wrinkles. It’s suitable for those seeking a non-surgical solution to rejuvenate their appearance.

Results from RADIESSE® injections are typically visible immediately after treatment. However, optimal results may develop over the following weeks as the product integrates with your skin, revealing a smoother and more youthful appearance.

Results from RADIESSE® can last up to a year or more for many patients. Individual results may vary based on factors such as metabolism and lifestyle habits. Routine touch-up treatments can help maintain your desired look.

A4: RADIESSE® injections are minimally invasive and require little to no downtime. Bruising, swelling, or redness may occur at the injection site, but they usually resolve within a few days. Side effects are rare and can be discussed during your consultation.

A5: Before your RADIESSE® treatment, avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements. After treatment, follow post-care instructions provided by your healthcare provider, which may include avoiding strenuous activities and applying cold packs to reduce swelling.

During your RADIESSE® treatment, a trained healthcare provider will administer the injectable filler to targeted areas using a fine needle. The procedure usually takes about 15-30 minutes, depending on how extensive the treatment is. Anesthesia or topical numbing cream can minimize mild discomfort. Following this, you can return to your normal daily activities.
